Tiran Island sits at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, where powerful ocean currents funnel through four legendary reef systems to create one of the most dramatic and biologically rich dive environments on Earth. This full-day trip is designed exclusively for certified divers ready to experience some of the Red Sea's most exceptional underwater landscapes. You'll board a comfortable dive boat at Sharm El Sheikh's harbour and cruise north to the Tiran Straits. The day's itinerary typically includes two or three dives across the Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon reefs — each with its own distinct character. Jackson Reef is renowned for its towering walls, resident hammerhead sharks, and the rusting wreck of the Lara. Woodhouse Reef offers sweeping coral gardens and vast schools of fish. Thomas Reef has steep slopes favoured by grey reef sharks and white-tips. Gordon Reef, closer to shore, boasts remarkable coral diversity and sea turtle sightings. Between dives, the crew serves lunch on deck and leads in-depth briefings on each site. Water temperature, visibility, and current conditions are explained clearly, and the divemaster tailors entry points to optimise the drift. Tanks, weights, and BCD/regulator rental available.
