When you interact with EgyptVia — whether through a booking inquiry, a contact form, or our WhatsApp channel — we may collect the following personal information: your full name, email address, phone number, and booking details including tour dates, group size, and any special requirements. We also automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages visited on our website. This technical data helps us maintain site security and improve your experience.

2. How We Use It

Your personal data is used exclusively to deliver and improve our services. Specifically, we use it to process and confirm tour bookings, send booking confirmations and itinerary details via email, contact you through WhatsApp to coordinate logistics, and respond to your inquiries. With your explicit consent, we may also send occasional email marketing about new tours, seasonal offers, and travel inspiration from Sinai. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by writing to hello@egyptvia.com.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon, a secure cloud database platform. All data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Neon's infrastructure is hosted in secure data centres with physical access controls, continuous monitoring, and automatic backups. We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Booking records are typically retained for up to five years for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

4. Third Parties

We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers in order to operate our business. Resend is used to deliver transactional and marketing emails on our behalf; your email address is shared with Resend solely for this purpose. Telegram and WhatsApp are used for direct operational communication with our team; messages sent through these platforms are subject to the respective platform's own privacy policies. We also use Meta Ads for conversion tracking and remarketing; this involves a pixel on our site that may share anonymised event data with Meta to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to any inaccurate information, and request deletion of your data where we have no overriding legal obligation to retain it. In some cases we may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
