The Red Sea off Sharm El Sheikh is widely regarded as one of the best places on Earth to learn to scuba dive, and this comprehensive three-day PADI Open Water Diver course will equip you with the internationally recognised certification to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of eighteen metres. Day one begins with knowledge development sessions — either via the eLearning platform completed before arrival or in-classroom study with your PADI-certified instructor. You will cover the fundamental principles of diving physics, underwater physiology, dive equipment function, and safety procedures. The afternoon moves to the confined water environment — typically a pool or sheltered shallow bay — where you practise the five core skill sets including mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, and emergency ascents. Days two and three are dedicated to your four required open water training dives, conducted at some of Sharm El Sheikh's most celebrated dive sites. Under the close supervision of your instructor, you will dive at sites such as Ras Umm Sid, The Garden, and Gordon Reef, encountering moray eels, lionfish, glassfish schools, and the extraordinary coral gardens of the northern Red Sea. Upon successful completion of all skill assessments and dives, you will be issued your internationally valid PADI Open Water Diver certification card. All equipment is provided, and the course is conducted in small groups to ensure personalised attention.
