Sharm El-Sheikh: Overnight Desert Stars & Bedouin Camp Experience

There is no experience quite like sleeping under the vast, unpolluted sky of the Sinai Desert — and this overnight Bedouin camp adventure delivers that transformative experience in full. Departing Sharm El-Sheikh in the early evening by 4x4 vehicle, you travel 45 minutes into the raw landscape of the Sinai interior, arriving at a traditional Bedouin camp as the colours of sunset paint the desert in shades of gold and crimson. Welcomed by your Bedouin hosts with bitter coffee and sweet dates, you are shown your comfortable sleeping area — traditional bedrolls on carpets beneath a canopy of stars. As night falls, a three-course Bedouin dinner is prepared over open fire: marinated lamb, rice, lentil soup, and freshly baked bread. After dinner, a Bedouin guide leads a 45-minute stargazing session, pointing out the constellations that desert peoples have navigated by for millennia. Guests are welcome to ride a camel through the moonlit desert or simply sit in silence and absorb the extraordinary peace of the night. Before sunrise, an optional camel trek to watch the dawn is offered. Breakfast is served before the return journey to Sharm. Sleeping bags, blankets, and all equipment are provided.
