The Blue Hole is a vertical underwater sinkhole dropping to over 130 metres — surrounded by extraordinary coral gardens that begin just centimetres below the surface. Donning mask, fins, and snorkel, you float above this natural wonder and peer into the abyss, watching reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, and clouds of tropical fish going about their ancient business in the crystal-clear water. After the Blue Hole, a short drive takes you into the desert to a Bedouin herb garden — a surprising oasis of medicinal plants, fragrant spices, and natural remedies that have been cultivated in the Sinai for centuries. Your Bedouin host explains the uses of each plant with warmth and knowledge passed down through generations. A camel ride through the surrounding desert follows, offering a perspective on the landscape that has barely changed in a thousand years. The afternoon is devoted to the Colored Canyon — a narrow, winding slot canyon where the walls display extraordinary bands of red, orange, yellow, and purple sandstone formed by geological forces over millions of years.
