Dahab is one hour north of Sharm — a wind-swept, bohemian village perched between the mountains and the sea that is home to what many divers consider the finest underwater scenery on the entire Red Sea coast. The centrepiece of the day is the Blue Hole: a perfectly circular vertical shaft dropping 130 metres straight down through sapphire-blue water, ringed by dense, pristine coral gardens that host one of the most dazzling concentrations of reef fish anywhere in the world. Snorkeling along the outer rim of the Blue Hole reveals a coral-encrusted edge where the seabed suddenly vanishes into indigo depths — an experience that is simultaneously serene and awe-inspiring. Before the main snorkel, your guide leads a short stop at the famous Canyon, a natural archway of coral where the light filters in breathtaking rays. Lunch is enjoyed at a traditional sea-facing Bedouin café directly on the lagoon, where you can dangle your feet in the water and watch local windsurfers skim across the bay. After lunch, there is free time to explore Dahab's lively corniche, browse the crafts and spice shops, rent a stand-up paddleboard, or simply relax at a beach café with fresh juice. The day returns to Sharm in the late afternoon with your mind full of extraordinary underwater memories and a genuine taste of Sinai's most beloved beach town.
